In a groundbreaking initiative, ABF — along with AIMDC and the Department of Minorities, Government of Karnataka — trained over 2,500 Imams, Mutawallis, and Masjid Committee Members from across the state on the life-changing benefits of government healthcare schemes.
Through 13 powerful sessions at Haj Bhavan, Bangalore, this mission transformed religious and community leaders into health warriors — ready to guide their congregations toward timely care, access to government support, and dignity in healthcare.
Why this multiplier matters
A masjid Imam in Karnataka speaks to several hundred congregants every week. If even a fraction of those community leaders carry accurate, actionable information about Ayushman Bharat, SAST coverage, or the closest government dialysis centre, the downstream impact is enormous.
This is the Active Health bridge model at its most efficient.
